Exports via Iran's Sarakhs upped by 90%

TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) – Exports of goods via northwestern Sarakhs customs in the eight-month period ended November 21 amounted to 125,246 tons, valued at some $27 million, showing a 90 percent rise year on year.


Cement, foodstuff, carpet, plastic products, and home appliance were the main exported items in the mentioned period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported.


The report further added that around 350,000 tons of goods, worth some $110m were imported via Sarakhs borders during the same time, which was 10 percent lower than the corresponding figure in the year before in terms of value.
