Iran football 6th in Asia
TEHRAN, Dec. 16 (MNA) -- Iran has moved down one place in the latest world rankings issued by FIFA.
The team sits sixth among the Asian teams in the rankings, behind Australia, Japan, South Korea, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia respectively.
Meanwhile, Iran has dropped to 64th in the world rankings with 508 points.
European champion Spain finishes 2009 on top of the FIFA world rankings with 1627 points for the second straight year.
Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy and Portugal sit in the following places respectively.
