NEW INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OFFICE OPENED IN AZERBAIJAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Baku, December 16 (AzerTAc). Under the TEMPUS program and “The Network of International Relations Offices in Azerbaijan (N.I.R.O.A.)” program, the International relations office, meeting the European standards, was opened in Azerbaijan Medical University on Tuesday.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, rector of the Medical University, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov spoke about the activity of the university and stressed the importance of events conducted under the TEMPUS program.
Pro-rector of the University of Genoa, Italy, Prof. Michele Marsonet and professor in international economics at the Genoa University Franco Prausello and other scientists also spoke about the relations between the leading European universities, expressing hope for further developing ties between them.
The event participants familiarized themselves with the International relations office supplied with the modern teaching equipments.
This project aims to respond the identified needs for Azerbaijan to develop meaningful international links by developing a network of International Relations Offices in the 4 identified Higher Education institutions. Supported by the Ministry of Education and aided by an international consortium involving universities in Italy, Greece, Poland and Germany, this project aims to train staff, establish a network of International Relations Offices and develop meaningful international contacts networks with EU and other world universities.
