USAID TO HELP AZERBAIJAN BOOST NGOS
Baku, December 16 (AzerTAc). The State NGO Support Council under Azerbaijani President and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at boosting the activity of Non-Governmental Organizations in Azerbaijan.
The document was signed by the Council`s Chairman Azay Guliyev and USAID Azerbaijan head Jonathan Conley.
Under the agreement, Azerbaijan and USAID will work together to bring the country`s practice of government funding for NGOs to world standards, develop NGOs` activities and raise public awareness about the possibilities of involving NGOs in the process of socio-economic development.
