RENEWABLE ENERGY DEV'T TO BE UPGRADED
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A project to construct a wind power plant has been carried out by Newcom Group of Mongolia since 2004.
This plant, to be erected in an area called Salhit near Sergelen soum, Tov aimag, will be the first Wind Power Plant, with a capacity of 50 megawatt. Energy produced here will be distributed to central grid.
On December 16, Mongolia's Newcom Group and the European Reconstruction and Development Bank signed an agreement on setting up a joint Company to further continue this project.
