SOCAR REP REPORTS ON AZERBAIJAN`S ROLE IN EUROPEAN ENERGY SECURITY IN VIENNA
Vienna, December 13 (AzerTAc). Director of the SOCAR Office in Austria Gulmirze Javadov delivered a report on “Azerbaijani oil and gas industry: role in European energy security and energy cooperation between Europe and Caspian region” at a conference “Nabucco and south stream: new perspectives for European energy security” organized by the Crans Montana Forum here on December 10-12.
He told of Azerbaijan`s energy policy and projects being implemented in the country. According to him SOCAR meets Georgia`s energy needs and exports oil and gas to Turkey and world markets.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Javadov held a number of meetings with officials from Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Germany, Saudi Arabia.
The session was also attended by Azerbaijani embassy employees and representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
