Mottaki confers with Bahrain crown prince
Manama, Dec 13, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki conferred with Bahraini Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad in Manama on Saturday.
The talks took place on the sidelines of Manama Security Meeting. In the meeting, Mottaki underlined the intention of both countries' senior officials on developing and expanding ties, calling such ties effective in consolidating regional security.
Mottaki referred to different levels of cooperation fields between the two countries and underlined the importance of regional convergence.
Sheikh Salman said that Iran holds a key position in the world and that the country's strong culture and civilization as well as its economic abilities could be regarded as a valuable opportunity for other countries in the region.
Underlining his country’s intention and desire to strengthen bilateral ties with Iran, the crown prince welcomed Mottaki's presence in Manama Security Meeting. /end
