FAO: Iran's wheat production reaches 13m tons

TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (MNA) – In its latest report on Iran, the Food and Agricultural Organization cited a 5 million tons decrease in grain imports, 3.7 million tons of local wheat production, a stop in the growth of rice consumption, and the production of 95 percent of the meat used in the country in 2009.


FAO leads international efforts to defeat hunger.
