Iran-Syria endorse defense pact
Damascus, Dec 12, IRNA – Iran and Syria inked a defense cooperation protocol on Friday, based on which they will share experience in the defense domain and form a joint defense cooperation committee for the purpose.
Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi and his Syrian counterpart Lieut. Gen. Ali Habib were signatories to the agreement.
After signing the document, the ministers voiced readiness of their respective country to further consolidate bilateral defense and military relations.
They said cooperation will serve as an important factor for expansion of political, security and economic relations./end
