Prince William passes helicopter exams

Prince William has passed his flying exams for Britain's Royal Air Force, paving the
way for a career as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot.
The 27-year-old prince, who is second in line to the English throne, was said to be
"relieved, pleased and exhausted" after completing the exams.
"It's a pretty tough course with a relatively high drop-out rate - but he came
through it reasonably comfortably," a St James's Palace source told The Sun
newspaper on Friday.
Prince William, who is due to visit Australia and New Zealand early in 2010, is now
expected to begin learning specific rescue techniques as part of the next phase of
his training.
