SAARC states must work in tandem to deal with global warming, terrorism

New Delhi, Dec 10, IRNA – Nepal's Prime Minister urged SAARC nations to work in tandem to deal with issues like global warming and terrorism.
In a message on the occasion of 25th anniversary of establishment of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Madhav Kumar Nepal said that South Asia must work in tandem to deal with contemporary issues, including global warming, terrorism, food security and financial crisis.
He said that South Asia is enriched with deep-rooted feeling of unity and cooperation.
SAARC was founded on December 8, 1985. It's member states are India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The regional body has hosted 16 summits so far and has come up with dozens of commitments./end
