Israel's Air Defence Missile System under India's CBI scanner
New Delhi, Dec 10, IRNA – Air Defence Missile System from Israel is under scanner of India’s premier intelligence agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
According to an official release, Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) has undertaken joint development of missiles viz. Long Range Surface to Air Missile (LRSAM) for Indian Navy and Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) for Indian Air Force with M/s Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), Israel.
CBI has registered a regular case relating to the procurement of Barak Anti Missile Defence System for the Navy in which M/s IAI, Israel is also involved. The case is pending investigation.
This information was given by Defence Minister A K Antony Wednesday in written reply to A. Elavarasan in Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Indian Parliament)./end
