MCA'S ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT PROJECT
Ulaanbaatar. /MONTSAME/ The Government of Mongolia has submitted a proposal to amend the Compact between the Government of the United States of America, through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and the Government of Mongolia. The Compact provides for grant funding to support a five-year Program to reduce poverty in Mongolia through economic growth. The Compact ends in September 2013.
The MCC Compact amendment, if approved, would fund, among other projects, an Energy and Environment Project to improve the air quality in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.
The Compact is being implemented through MCA-Mongolia, a legal entity responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of the Compact.
