Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ According to the report of the Bank of Mongolia, money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of November 2009, expanded to MNT 2,718.9 billion which reflects an increase of MNT 47.9 billion or 1.8 per cent, over October 2009 and an increase of MNT 477.1 billion or 21.3 per cent compared to November 2008.
The increase of MNT 494.7 billion or 30.5 per cent in growth of quasi money is the main factor of an increase of MNT 448.9 billion or 19.8 per cent in money supply from the beginning of 2009.
At the end of November 2009, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 363.9 billion showing an increase by MNT 4.3 billion or 1.2 per cent against October 2009, and by MNT 33.0 billion or 10.0 per cent against November 2008.
Loans outstanding at the end of November 2009, amounted to MNT 2,633.1 billion with an increase by MNT 15.1 billion or 0.6 per cent over the October 2009, and a decrease of MNT 35.0 billion or 1.3 per cent against November 2008.
Meanwhile, principals in arrears decreased by MNT 34.7 billion or 17.3 per cent over the October of 2009, reaching MNT 166.1 billion which was 6.3 per cent of total loans outstanding and increased by MNT 111.1 billion or 3.0 times against November of 2008.
The non-performing loans reached MNT 456.0 billion which was 17.3 per cent of the total loans outstanding and it is increased by MNT 49.9 billion or 12.3 per cent over the October of 2009, and by MNT 368.9 billion or 5.2 times against November of 2008.
