Kuwait's Emir Opens Conference of Arab Thought Foundation

Kuwait, December 09, 2009, SPA -- Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in presence of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, who is also President of Arab Thought Foundation, opened here today the 8th Conference of the Foundation entitled "Arab Economic Integration, Partners
for Prosperity. "


Addressing the Conference, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal reviewed the Foundation's
objectives, its works and interest in all fields of knowledge of science, medicine,
economy, administration, information and literatures aiming at the unification of
intellectual and cultural efforts calling for the solidarity of the Arab nation and
promotion and preservation of its identity .


In his speech, the Foundation's Secretary General Dr. Suleiman Abdulmoneim reviewed
the role of the Foundation and its keenness of enhancing the development and
prosperity of the Arab nation in all fields.


The inaugural ceremony was attended by Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad
Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Speaker of Kuwaiti Nation's Council Jassem Al-Kharafi and
