FOREMOST WORKER OF EDUCATION TITLE GIVEN TO THE CHINESE

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A Rector of Mongolia's State University (MSU) S.Davaa granted Monday the title of Foremost Worker of Education to Lee Mingching, a director of the Confucius Institute in Mongolia.
The title has been awarded to him for his significant contribution to preparing Sino specialists, propagandizing the Chinese culture and forwarding the bilateral cultural exchange. Present at the ceremony were M.Chimedtseye, a director of the Confucius Institute in charge of Mongolian side; Wu Shinin, a cultural advisor to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia; D.Badmaanyambuu, a director of the MSU's School of Foreign Language and Culture; R.Rinchinbayar, a deputy director of the School; and other officials.
Assistant professor of China's Shandong University Lee Ming Chi has worked in the Confucius Institute in Mongolia from 2007 as a director. This is accorded with a contract established with China's State Service of Spreading Chinese Language.
Confucius Institute has about 300 branches in over 80 countries. In the last period--after the establishment of the Institute--some 800 students have been involved in various Chinese language trainings and studies. Some ten professionals have defended degrees of master and doctor in China as well.
