PRESIDENT RECEIVES RUSSIAN TOP SECURITY COUNCIL OFFICIAL
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received Wednesday Mr Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia. He is paying a working visit to Mongolia.
Mr Patrushev highlighted that Russian Prime Minister and President visited Mongolia in May and August this year concluding strategic top-level negotiations. Russian President Medvedev gave much importance to these talks and they are now under implementation procedure.
President Elbegdorj said Mongolia and Russia have an extraordinary historic and heroic relationship. Recent Russian President's state visit to Mongolia in August of 2009 was significant in representing historic relations of the two countries. Defense and military technical cooperation are important for relations between the our two countries and strategic agreements are important to be realized operatively under mutual understanding.
