EASTERN PARTNERSHIP FOREIGN MINISTERS` MEETING HELD
Baku, 9 December (AzerTAc). The first meeting of Foreign Ministers in the framework of the Eastern Partnership was held on 8 December 2009 in Brussels. The event gathered foreign ministers of 27 Member States, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, and the EU institutions.
The meeting discussed six projects to be realized by the European Union. These projects will cover various issues, including cooperation on integrated border, allocating credits for small and medium enterprises, development of energy programs and transport corridors, ecology and fighting natural disasters.
The Eastern Partnership with its bilateral and multilateral components answers the aspirations of all Eastern Partnership countries to come closer to the European Union, both politically and economically.
