Iran strongly condemns bomb explosions in Baghdad

Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast said on Tuesday that the devastating bomb explosions in Baghdad indicate the depth of hostilities of the terrorists towards the Iraqi nation.
Undoubtedly, such inhuman measures cannot shatter the will of the Iraqi nation or its government, he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns Tuesday's bomb explosions in Baghdad which claimed lives of many innocent civilians, he said.
Iran expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Iraqi government, nation and bereaved families of this criminal act, he said.
Such inhuman acts on the threshold of the parliamentary elections in Iraq is to disrupt the country’s stability and democracy, he said, adding that terrorists have adopted a very hostile stand in dealing with the Iraqi Muslim nation.
Such heinous moves cannot hinder the firm determination of the Iraqi government and its people on attaining independence and will backfire instead, he said.
Tehran backs the measures of the Iraqi government for restoring tranquility and security in the war-torn country, he said, voicing Iran’s readiness to render any humanitarian as well as medical services to the injured civilians./end
