Beginning the meeting, the Premier congratulated Mr Addleton on becoming the U.S Ambassador to Mongolia and wished him successes at works.
Mr Batbold said Mongolia attaches great importance to the high-level mutual visits that widen the bilateral relations. He mentioned that he met in June 2008 Mrs Hillary Clinton, the U.S Secretary of State when he was a Minister of Foreign Affairs, during an official visit to the USA to share views on Mongolia-U.S. relations and cooperation.

In turn, the U.S Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with successful realizations of the MCC's projects. He said that inking of the “Oyu tolgoi” investment contract will bring to Mongolia many opportunities to develop the economy and to attract foreign investments. He expressed a gratitude to the Mongolian side for sending troops for the peacekeeping operations.
Mr Addleton appreciated the Premier's more attention to the education, and vowed to take a request in his attention to increase a number of Mongolian students studying in the USA.
