RARE WILD ANIMALS TO BE SAVED

Ulaanbaatar,/MONTSAME/ A resolution has been issued by the Presidium of Omnogobi aimag's Citizens' Representative Khural to save rare wild animals. The resolution is issued in connection with a situation of threat against growth of rare animals and their reproduction.
In accordance with this resolution, the aimag prohibited hunting or catching argali (wild mountain sheep), capra (wild goat), black-tailed deer, falcons and other very rare animals between 2010 and 2012. Report on the ban has been reported by the aimag to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. The Presidium ordered the governor to make propaganda about saving the animals, to improve controls, to set locations of rare wild animals and to implement bio-technical measures pursuant to a plan.
