DEPUTY AZERI FM: WE BELIEVE TURKISH PREMIER WILL CALL WASHINGTON TO MAKE CONSIDERABLE STEPS TOWARDS SETTLEMENT OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT
Baku, December 7 (AzerTAc). “We believe Turkish Premier will call Washington to make considerable steps towards settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during his US trip,” said Azerbaijan`s deputy minister of foreign affairs Araz Azimov.
He stressed: “We believe that during the US visit Turkish Prime Minister will take into consideration both Turkey`s and Azerbaijan`s national interests”.
Azimov praised Turkey`s “key” role in the region.
“Recently we saw Turkey try to use new resources in order to continue its policy.”
Azimov also touched upon Azerbaijan`s role in the region, saying the country enjoyed “sustainable development” and “considerably strengthened its position.”
