COE DELEGATION ARRIVES IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, December 7 (AzerTAc). A delegation of the Council of Europe`s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities has kicked off a visit to Azerbaijan for a pre-electoral mission to inspect preparatory works ahead of municipal elections set for December 23.
The congress` experts will meet government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations as well as management of Central Election Commission.
The delegation, headed by Turkish MP Gaya Doganoglu, includes parliamentarians Nigel Mermagen from the United Kingdom, Istvan Borbely from Hungary, Dobrica Milovanovic from Serbia and Gudrun Mosler-Tornstrom from Austria.
The team will pay the second visit to the country to monitor the voting process.
