D.ZORIGT MEETS RIO TINTO'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy D.Zorigt has met Tom Albanese, Chief Executive Director of the Rio Tinto Group, during his working visit to the Great Britain. This meeting is the first one between them since the establishment of the investment deal on exploiting the "Oyu tolgoi" mineral deposit.
At the meeting, the sides shared views on implementing measures of the investment deal within the period. The Minister suggested Mr Albanese to try to give a priority to the Mongolian companies when involving them in trade and service related to the "Oyu tolgoi" project, and requested him to promptly organize a preparation of the Mongolian mining specialists and experts with a support from the Rio Tinto Group.
Mr Albanese underlined that the Rio Tinto "is making all efforts to realize the contract for the sake of the bilateral interests". He said the Rio Tinto will attach an importance to the Mongolian side's requests.
Mr Zorigt also met with members of the British-Mongolian Trade Chamber and some authorities of the HSBC company, and exchanged opinions with them on Mongolia's investment environment appeared after the establishment of the investment contract.
