FEMALE RUNNER QUALIFIED FOR LONDON GAMES
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ An international master of sports, sportswoman of "Mongol Ajnai" club L.Otgonbayar has been qualified for taking part in the London 2012 Olympic Games. She had competed in the "A" class international marathon which took
place November 29 in Shanghai, China.
In accordance with the IAAF's (International Association of Athletics Federations) rules, 42 minutes is the qualification time for the Olympics in marathon contest to cover a distance of 42 km and 195 m.
The Mongolian covered her way within 40 minutes and 12 seconds, and thus broke Mongolia's record in women's marathon. She also became the first athlete of Mongolia to get a right to participate in the London Olympics.
