Pioneer Teams Up with China's Suning Appliance

Tokyo, Dec. 3 (Jiji Press)--Japanese electronics maker Pioneer
Corp. <6773> said Thursday that it has forged a business alliance with major
Chinese electronics retailer Suning Appliance Co.

Pioneer plans to sell such products as DVD players through Suning's
network, aiming to chalk up sales of over 10 billion yen in fiscal 2012.
Meanwhile, Suning will be allowed to use the Pioneer brand for
flat-panel television sets it is developing for launch in summer 2010. The
brand use will be limited to TVs to be sold in the Chinese market.
Suning has about 900 outlets across China.
