GREECE OSCE CHAIRMANSHIP ISSUES STATEMENT ON NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT
Greece OSCE Chairmanship issued a statement on Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh following the foreign ministers` meeting held in Athens.
“We welcome the statement by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs – French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, as well as by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia and call on both sides to develop positive dynamics in the negotiations. We support their decision to finalize the basic principles for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, based on Madrid document in order to urgently start preparation of the peace agreement”, the statement says.
