Iran’s Parliament to review ties with yes-voters to IAEA resolution
The Foreign Policy and National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) will review the country’s ties with the states which voted for the latest anti-Iran resolution of the UN nuclear watchdog.
The statement was made on Thursday by Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani who is currently in the Caspian Sea province of Mazandaran to attend a local gathering to honor a group of province's martyred police officers.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the gathering which was held in the provincial city of Amol, Larijani said the latest vote of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was “not logical.”
The speaker said that the Majlis Foreign Policy and National Security Commission was investigating the IAEA anti-Iranian resolution “carefully.”
He added that some 200 out of 290 members of the Iranian Parliament “have officially expressed their protests against the IAEA resolution.”
The commission is reviewing Iran’s relations with the UN nuclear watchdog and examining the way to deal with its latest resolution against the country, Larijani concluded.
