GUAM COUNCIL OF FOREIGN MINISTERS` REGULAR SESSION HELD IN ATHENS
Baku, 2 December (AzerTAc). The 12th session of the GUAM Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs has taken place on December 1, in Athens, in the frame of 17th session of OSCE Ministerial Council, press service of the GUAM Organizational Department said.
The Council discussed questions of interaction of GUAM member states in the United Nations, underlining necessity of the further intensification of their efforts in the frame of the agenda of 64th session of General Assembly of the United Nations “Protracted conflicts on GUAM space and their consequences for international peace, security and development”. Also were considered some questions of cooperation and held meetings in the format “Guam +”.
At session, also was heard the information on activity of GUAM branch bodies and adopted a decision on transfer from January 2010 to Ukraine of the next presidency for a period of one year.
