JUDOISTS TO COMPETE IN KOREA AND JAPAN

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's selected team for judo, led by a State Honored Sportsman and World Champion Kh.Tsagaanbaatar, left Wednesday for the Republic of Korea to take part in the World Cup competitions scheduled November 4-5 in Suwon city.
The events will run in the men's and women's 14 weight categories. The teams have a right to have up to four judoists compete in each of weight categories. After these competitions the Mongolians will have a joint training in S.Korea until December 10.
The next event to be attended by Mongolian's team is the Grand Slam competition. It will be held December 11-13 in Tokyo, Japan. The prize fund will be USD 154 thousand. The winner will receive USD 5,000, runner-up--USD 3,000, bronze medalist--USD 1,500. Upon comp[leting the events, the Mongolians are to have five-day joint training with their Japanese counterparts.
