India returns to negotiations on Peace Pipeline

New Delhi, Dec 2, IRNA -- India, at last after stepping aside from the trilateral talks on the peace pipeline for about a year, is again getting ready to join negotiations which is in the final stage between Iran and Pakistan.

Announcing the above, the Deputy minister of oil and managing director of National Iranian Oil Company told IRNA that during the three rounds of talks with the Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and his associates, both sides reached agreements in the field of investment and gas pipeline.

Saifullah Jashnsaz, who arrived in India Monday morning at the head of a high level business and technical delegation said that Iran has agreed to deliver the gas on Indo-Pakistan border and India said that it would send a delegation to Tehran very soon.

Regarding India's concern on the security of Peace Pipeline in Pakistan territory, he said that Pakistan is committed to give security to the pipeline in her territory. He also added that India has also admitted the need of resuming the talks.

The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company said that the date for resumption of talks will be announced in a week and the Indian delegation will visit Tehran for talks. /end
