Pak delegation in Tehran to negotiate gas pipeline

Tehran, Dec 2, IRNA – Pakistan's Deputy Minister of Oil and Natural Resources Ershad Ahmad Kalim heading a top delegation arrived in Tehran Tuesday for continuation of talks on exporting gas to his country.
According to the public relations office of Iran National Company for Exporting Gas, Kalim started his negotiations with the Managing Director of the INCEG to finalize the gas export operation contract and achieve agreement on titles of transiting gas through the pipeline from Pakistan to a third country.
Supplying source for exporting gas is Southern Pars field through a pipeline 1,100 kilometers in length that starts from Assalouyeh and by passing through provinces of Bushehr, Hormuzgan, Kerman, Sistan and Baluchestan will reach Iran-Pakistan border.
The main section of the pipeline from Assalouyeh to Iranshahr is in the final stages of construction.
The pipeline has capacity of transferring 110 million cubic meters of gas daily, of which 50 million is for domestic consumption and the next 60 million cubic meters is for export.
The total length of the pipeline from Iran to India through Pakistan will be 2,700 kilometers./end
