PRESIDENT INSPECTS RECONSTRUCTION WORK AT AZERBAIJAN STATE ACADEMIC NATIONAL DRAMA THEATER
Baku, 1 December (AzerTAc). President Ilham Aliyev has today visited the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater in the center of capital Baku to see ongoing reconstruction work.
The President, accompanied by his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, first viewed the building`s facade. They then viewed a photo showcase featuring the facility`s look before and after the complete overhaul.
The Head of State also toured the theater`s hall. Minister of culture and tourism Abulfaz Garayev told the President the reconstruction would see the number of seats in the hall increase from 590 to 650. The minister said the hall would also have state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.
The President said it was very important that the theatre meets modern standards after the revamp.
