EU REITERATES ‘FULL SUPPORT’ OF MINSK GROUP`s EFFORTS TOWARDS SOLUTION OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT
Baku, 1 December (AzerTAc). “The EU reiterates its full support for the efforts of the Co-Chairs of the Minsk Group towards a solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict…” said Carl Bildt, Foreign Minister of Sweden which currently holds the European Union`s Presidency.
Addressing the 17th OSCE Ministerial Council in Athens on Tuesday, Bildt said “we welcome the intensified negotiations this year”.
“We call again upon Armenia and Azerbaijan to take the necessary decisions to achieve a breakthrough with the endorsement of the Basic Principles proposed in Madrid on November 29, 2007,” the Swedish FM added.
