Brazilian Duque de Caxias won the Binh Duong Television international football tournament
City (VNA) – Brazilian Duque de Caxias won the Binh Duong
Television international football tournament after beating Vietnamese Dong Tan Long An 2-1 in the final on Nov. 29.
Leandro Cruz de Oliveira and Givaldo de Jesus scored for the Brazilian team, whike
Charles Obi pulled back a goal for Long An in the final at Binh Duong Stadium.
The Brazilian team, who debuted at the annual tournament, walked away with 20,000
USD in prize money.
Only six minutes into the game, Caxias’s Leandro latched onto his teammate’s
cross with a low shot past Masedonia’s Filip Madzovski.
Long An had a chance to level the matter with 10 minutes from the break, but their
strikers could not find the net.
The V-League side was faced with a disadvantage in the second half in search of
the equaliser when they were reduced to 10 men, as Huan was sent off for a second
yellow card.
Caxias swiftly settled the match with a second goal.
Leandro’s cross found Gevaldo de Jesus in the penalty area and he wasted no time
to send the ball past goalie Filip with a far upright shot.
With six minutes from the final whistle, ObSi pulled a goal back for Long An, but
it was all over for the Vietnamese side.
In the all-Vietnamese third-place, Cement Hai Phong beat hosts Binh Duong 3-1 to
claim third, with a prize of 5,000 USD.-Enditem
