Iran-Brazil ink 13 Memoranda of Understanding

Brasilia, Nov 24, IRNA – Iran and Brazil signed 13 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in Brasilia on Monday evening, aimed at further increasing bilateral ties.
Signed at a ceremony in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the bilateral agreements are in commerce, banking, sciences, technological, agricultural, trade, lifting visa requirement, academic, scholarships granting, news agencies, sports, cinematography, and cultural fields.
An agreement was also signed between the chambers of commerce of both nations - one between the energy ministries, another between the central banks of Iran and Brazil, and yet another between the science ministers of the two countries.
Among other Memoranda of Understanding, there is an agreement on agricultural research, one on bilateral commerce and trade, another on lifting the visa requirement, and a cultural cooperation agreement, all signed before the two presidents.
Agreements relating to academy, granting university scholarships, cooperation between the two official news agencies, cinema, sports, in particular the football federations, were also signed before the two presidents./end
