Ahmadinejad embarks on five-day visit to Africa, Latin America


Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad embarked on a five-day visit to Africa and Latin America on Sunday morning.

At the first leg of his trip, he left Tehran for Gambia at the head of a ranking eco-political delegation.

Ahmadinejad is scheduled to visit two African states and three Latin American countries.

During the visits, he will hold talks with his counterparts in Gambia, Senegal, Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia.

Senior Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ali Akbar Velyati and First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi were at the airport to see Ahmadinejad off.
