SAUDI FORCES CAPTURE HOUTHI LEADER
SANA'A. Nov. 15 (Saba) - Saudi sources announced that Border Guard
Forces have managed to captured a Houthi leader, the state-run
26sep.net reported on Sunday.
The Houthi leader is Ali Abdullah Ahmed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and
was detained in the east of Gazan city, South-West the Saudi
territories, according to Alarabiya T.V channel.
In a related context, Saudi Authorities have said they have arrested
Houthi infiltrators with advanced spy technology.
Saudi sources said that the captured technological devices are used
to decode the Saudi military Saudi military communication.
An investigation is underway to know the source of this technology,
they said.
The Houthi insurgents have began sneaking into the Saudi border
territories amid persistent confrontations between them and the
Yemeni army.
As a result, Saudi troops launched land and air raids against the
rebels, with Saudi Arabia saying retaking the area.
Al- Houthi rebels have launched intermittent wars against the troops
since 2004 in the northern governorate of Sa'ada, which is located
close to border with Saudi Arabia.
Hussein, the eldest brother of the current group leader Abdul-Malik,
was killed by the army in September 2004.
The Yemeni government accuses the Houthi group of trying to
reinstall the rule of imams.
