Turkmen speaker arrives in Tehran
The speaker of Turkmenistan’s Parliament heading a politico-parliamentary delegation arrived in Tehran Saturday to hold parliamentary talks with Iranian officials.
At the Mehrabad International Airport, Akja Nurberdiyeva was welcomed by Iran’s Majlis Second Vice-Speaker Mohammad-Reza Bahonar.
The Turkmen speaker is visiting Iran for two days at the invitation of her Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani to confer on boosting Tehran-Ashkhabad parliamentary relations.
She is planned to meet with Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and a number of female parliamentarians.
