Iran strongly condemns Zionists new settlements construction

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Iran on Thursday strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s latest decision for constructing new settlements in east of Bait ul-Muqaddas calling it an "unforgivable and dangerous act."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihmanparast termed Tel Aviv's decision “a new case of occupation and continuation of the rudeness shown by the Zionist regime to the call of the international community for the halt of constructing Jewish settlements in the occupied lands.”

He made the remarks while commenting on Zionist officials’ plans, which were announced on Tuesday, for constructing 900 new housing units in east of Bait ul-Muqaddas.

Tehran believes the growing trend of occupying Palestinian territory as well as the hostile possession of Palestinian lands, in particular Bait ul-Muqaddas, which is respected by over a billion of world Muslims, “is an unforgivable and dangerous act which aims at Judaizing Bait ul-Muqaddas,” stressed the spokesman.

"Zionist authorities have repeatedly invaded and insulted Bait ul-Muqaddas without shame, while European states are only watching the constant cases of its violations,” he added.

Mihmanparast urged international bodies, the Organization of the Islamic Conference in particular, to stop turning a blind eye to the insults made by the Zionist authorities and react to them seriously.”/end
