$ 24 MLN TO YEMEN ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM
SANA'A, Nov. 14 (Saba)- The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has agreed to offer a total of $24 million to the national anti-Tuberculosis program of Yemen, a senior Yemeni official said on Saturday.
After his participation in the GF 20th meeting which held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on 9-11 November, Public Health and Population Minister Abdul-Karim Ras'a said to Saba that the meeting chose Yemen a sole representative of the Eastern Mediterranean Region states in the GF.
Ras'a said that the fund agreed to finance projects presented by all member countries of the GF with $ 2.2 billion.
In addition, the GF will offer $ 443,342,805 to The Eastern Mediterranean Region states, including Yemen, Pakistan, Djibouti, Iraq and Sudan.
