EDITOR OF PAKISTANI ITTEHAD NEWSPAPER VISITS BAKU STATE UNIVERSITY
Baku, 14 November (AzerTAc). Editor of Pakistani Ittehad newspaper Tahir Farooq met on Friday with students of the Baku State University`s oriental studies faculty.
Farooq was briefed on the history of the University.
He highly valued the fact that the faculty has a department of Urdu language.
Touching upon relationship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, he described it as “high-level”.
Farooq expressed satisfaction with the Azerbaijani people`s hospitality.
He also praised the ongoing “successful” economic reforms in Azerbaijan.
On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he said Pakistan supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Farooq handed over to the students books in Urdu language and copies of his newspaper.
He also promised to send to BSU some computer programs in Urdu language.
The guest answered questions by the students.
