President on Latin American tour next week

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will start a multinational tour to Latin America next week which would take him at its first leg to Brazil, it was reported here on Saturday.

After his visit to Brasilia, which will take place at the official invitation of his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the Iranian president will visit Venezuela and Bolivia to discuss issues of mutual interests with his counterparts in those countries.


The Iranian president will be accompanied by a ranking eco-political delegation.

He is to discuss major bilateral, regional and international developments with his counterparts in the three Latin American states.

The president will reportedly have a stop-over in each Senegal and Gambia respectively on his way to Latin America.
