AZERBAIJANI COMPOSERS` UNION TURNS 75
An international conference entitled “Azerbaijani composer`s school: search and prospects” took place in Baku as a part of international musical festival dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Azerbaijani Composers`s Union (ACU).
Chairman of ACU, people`s artist Firangiz Alizade praised executive order signed by President Ilham Aliyev to conduct the ACU`s anniversary. Mrs. Alizade told of problems in the classical musical genre and the creative activity of the eminent composers of Azerbaijani musical culture of the 20th century – Uzeyir Hajibayli, Gara Garayev and Fikrat Amirov.
The guests from Russia and Central Asia told of traditions of Azerbaijani classical music.
