“CULTURE AND BEAUTY FACTOR IN ISLAM” CONFERENCE WRAPS UP IN BAKU
Baku, November 10 (AzerTAc). An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Culture and Beauty factor in Islam” has today ended here.
The conference was one of the series of events Baku has been hosted through the year in the capacity of Islamic Culture Capital, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The event brought together representatives from 9 countries, including Russia, Egypt, Albania, Jordan, Hungary and Turkey.
Speakers at the event stressed President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan`s First Lady, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mehriban Aliyeva`s contribution towards promoting the country`s culture and heritage abroad.
The meeting heard several reports, including “A first girls` school in the Islamic world”, “The role of Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva in scientific and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and ISESCO” and “Azerbaijan`s folklore in Islamic context”.
