UK confirms continuing support for development in Yemen

SANA'A, Nov. 09 (Saba)-
United kingdom confirmed continuing support for development process and reforms
agenda in
Yemen. During a meeting brought together prime minister Ali Mujawar and permanent
minister at the UK Department for International Development Namat Shafiq who said
that the
UK government understood for the economic challenges facing Yemen in present period.
She valued efforts of the Yemeni government to overcome all those challenges,
expressing
readiness of the kingdom to present technical assistance for the Yemeni government
to tackle the economic problems. For his part, Mujawar reviewed these challenges,
pointing
out to humanitarian impacts due to rebellion in some regions of Saada and efforts of
the government to receive and offer assistance for displaced peoples. In the
meeting,
the two officials discussed bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between Yemen
and the United Kingdom in economy. AH
