President receives UK senior official

SANA'A, Nov. 09 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah
Saleh received on Monday permanent minister at the UK Department for International
Development
Namat Shafiq who is currently visiting Yemen.
In the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and fields of the mutual
cooperation between Yemen and United Kingdom as well as increase of the UK support
for the development
in Yemen.
President Saleh highly praised the British assistance presented to the development
process in Yemen especially reforms agenda.He pointed out to challenges the country
such
as conflict with terrorist in Saada and al Qaeda network.
For her part, the UK senior official affirmed concern of United Kingdom to enhance
its ties with Yemen and extend horizons of the mutual cooperation between the two
nations.
She voiced readiness of the British government to increase its assistance for Yemen
in fields of economy and development.
