Iranian, Turkish FMs discuss bilateral ties, cooperation

Iran's visiting Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki discussed issues of mutual interest in a meeting here Monday with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 25th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) which is also participated by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The two FMs conferred ways to promot bilateral ties and cooperation especially after the late October visit to Iran of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during which an agreement was signed for promotion of bilateral cooperation.

Mottaki is in Turkey as a member of President Ahmadinejad's accompanying delegation at the COMCEC meeting.
