All foreign contestants will arrive by Nov. 7

HCM City (VNA) – All foreign contestants will arrive by Nov. 7 for the Mrs World
pageant to be held in Vung Tau from November 7 to 22.

Seventy five beauties have registered to vie for the crown, but ten of the
competitors are unlikely to be able to attend.

This year’s Mrs Vietnam , Hoang Thi Yen of HCM City , and the runner-up,
Nguyen Thi Thu Ha of Hanoi , will represent the host.
As part of the pageant, contestants will visit historical spots and schools for
disabled students and take part in cultural and sporting activities.
The final and awards ceremony will be held on November 22 at the city’s
gymnasium and be broadcast live on Star World and Vietnam Television. A short
video clip about the country will also be screened at the final.

On Nov. 4, 45 of the contestants visited the HCM City ’s Thi Nghe Orphanage.
They donated 50 million VND (2,800 USD) and presented 500 gifts to the disadvantaged
