AZERBAIJAN, GEORGIA DISCUSS RELIGIOUS COOPERATION

Baku, November 5 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade has met visiting Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II to discuss religious cooperation between the two countries.
Pashazade praised the level of the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.
He stressed the importance of the Baku conference on “Interreligious dialogue: from mutual understanding towards joint cooperation”, saying it would contribute to strengthening dialogue among religions.
Regional situation was also discussed, and Pashazade said “both countries have been making efforts to establish peace in the Caucasus”.
The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia underlined the two countries` religious leaders enjoy successful cooperation.
